Rkatsiteli  - formerly, most Georgian sort of vine widely spread in former USSR. On morphological signs and biological properties it belongs to the eco-geographical group of vines of Black sea basin.  One-year ripening sprout is umber with a reddish tint, nodes have more intensive coloring. Flower is telianthus. 

Bunches are of middle size (length is 13-15 cm, width is  7-8 cm), cylinder-conical and cylindrical form, often with  a long wing, compact. The bunch’s stem length is  middle - 4,5cm.

The bunch’s mass is 155-165 gram. Berry is of mid-size  (length is 15-18 cm, width is 13-14 mm), rounded or oval.  Middle mass of 100 berries 180-260 gram. Coloring is  gold-yellow, with bronze spots on a sun side. Berries  slightly got pink sometimes. A peel is thin, durable, pulp is juicy, and taste is pleasant, original. A berry contains  3 seeds.

Leading characters of Rkatsiteli are: pyramidal bushes;  upright brown sprouts; poorly cut leaves with a very  shallow serrations, intensively colored petioles; long  bunches; oval, gold-yellow berries with the brown spots  of sunburn.

Vines are with upright sprouts, apex is downy and  bronze. Leaves are complete, shallow, with sharp  serrations on the edge and with long petioles.  The autumn coloring of leaves is yellow. The productivity is high, but inconstant. Harvest is used for preparation of white table high quality wines, semisweet wines, wine materials of brandies and juices. Also it uses in a fresh kind and for storage. Table wines are characterized of high quality aroma, plenitude and freshness.
