Risling

Riesling - is a technical sort of vine, was reveled on the bank of Rhine River. Riesling belongs to the  eco-geographical group of West European sorts of vine. It is widely spread in many viticulturists countries of the world - Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland, USA, Argentina and other. 

The bark of young vine is covered by thick felt covering  of chlorine color with rose serrations, leaves are chlorine  with a bronze tint. One-year ripening vine is hazel, darker on nodes. Flower  is telianthus. The bunch is little or mid-size (length is  8-14 cm, width is 6-8 cm), frequently cylindrical,  sometimes cylinder-conical form, compact and friable.

The bunch’s stalk is short – length is 3 cm. Middle mass  of bunch is 80-100 gram. Berry of mid-size (diameter is  about 11-15 mm), rounded, green-white with a rather  yellow tint and covering, small with umbers points.  A peel is thin, very durable. Pulp is juicy, taste is  harmonious and pleasant. Middle mass of 100 berries is  120-140 gram. The berry contains 2-4 seeds.

The leading characters of Riesling: funnelform, rough,  large wrinkled leaves, from below with protuberant ribs;  petioles and unripening vines colored in a wine-red color;  sulphur with a weak dove-colored tint berries, thickly  studded brown points; original high quality taste. 

Vines are mid-tall; sprouts are branchy and thin. Leaves are rounded, trilobate, poorly cut and infundibular. Axis of sprout and petioles of leaves are with a red tint. The autumn coloring of leaves is yellow. For white wines, Riesling is the same, as Cabernet Sauvignon for red wines. It is able to give different wines in different places, that vintage splendidly.
