TAVRIA: RESULTS 2010
Last year has been a year of sure and fast coming out of the national and global economic crises for JSC Agrofirm Tavria. Today, Tavria regained the position of No. 1 manufacturer of vintage and collection brandies (“Cognacs of Ukraine”) in Ukraine.
The company’s products have been awarded 7 gold, 3 silver and 2 special prizes at international alcohol expos in 2010. Besides, “Imperial” brandy once again received the PRODEXPO (Moscow) Grand-Prix, and “Kahovka Lux” brandy has been acknowledged the “Best Cognac of the Year” at Yalta Annual “Golden Griffin” competition.
In February 2011, at 18th International PRODEXPO (Moscow), which was held on Feb 7-11, and had the broadest in Russia exposition of European alcohol, Tavria’s brand new Jatone drinks received two Gold Medals (5-year old Jatone VSOP and 8-year-old Jatone XO Extra), while the wine Bastardo San-Deni was awarded a Silver Medal.
High grape yield, buying high-quality import raw, broadening of the assortment – all this led to decent increase of production results in 2010. Especially it refers to the wine sector: due to launching the new San-Deni brand, wine production increased dramatically. Processing of ordinary and fortified raw wines has increased by 80% and 160%, respectively. Brandy production is not falling behind: 595,5 thousand of dal of ordinary (3 to 5-year-old) brandies were produced in 2010, which is 15% more than in 2009. The result is even more impressive in vintage brandy sector – 19% growth, and in collection sector – 38%.
Tavria has also re-branded the product line of ordinary brandies, started the production of vintage brandies in 250 ml bottles, and launched two new brands – Jatone and AleXX GT.
As for 2011 plans, the company aims for processing 13 thousand tons of grape, elaborating 765 thousand dal of brandy spirits, and producing 140 thousand dal of dry and semi-dry raw wines. Good sales encourage the company to look brightly into the future, and strengthen the company’s positions on Russian and CIS markets.
All Tavria staff is working hard and has good prospects.
