About the company
Agro-Industrial Firm “Tavria” is one of the major viticulturist-wine-making enterprises in Ukraine, with more than a century-old history. The company is located in the south of Ukraine, on the left bank of the river Dnieper, in the picturesque and ecologically friendly area with a magnificent landscape.
Today JSC “Tavria” takes a leading position among the manufacturers of exclusive collection and vintage brandies in Ukraine and comprises about 30% of the Ukrainian brandy market share. Our products are exported to Russia, Belarus, Poland and other countries, and the volume of export comprises over 10% of the total sales revenue.
During 2008, 6,66 million liters of ordinary, vintage and collection brandies were produced by JSC Agrofirm "Tavria", the leader of Ukrainian cognac market (Trademarks: "Tavria", "Georgievskiy", "AleXX").
Main directions of the firm’s activity are:
- brandy production,
- wine-making,
- viticulture,
- gardening.
The complete production cycle is implemented at the enterprise: from cultivation of vine seedlings to shipping of the high-quality products to the consumer. The wide product range includes natural grape wines and brandies, created by our experienced and devoted wine-makers, with tribute to the old wine-making traditions. Our wines and brandies have been awarded with top-ranking medals and diplomas repeatedly at famous expositions and tasting contests.
The program of natural resource base enlargement is developed and successfully implemented. More than 30 sorts of vine are cultivated, young plants of the highest-quality French vine are brought in, inculcated are super-intensive grape plantings according to the euro-standard, with phyto-monitoring and drip irrigation system. The company’s products possess their own unique and inimitable bouquet.
All this is made possible owing to the experienced team of Tavria’s employees, preservation of classical technologies, implementation of new hi-tech production facilities and constant struggle for improvement of organoleptic qualities of the products. As always, our products take leading positions on domestic and foreign markets.
JSC “Tavria” is famous for its collection and vintage brandies, created by the masters of brandy-making, who possess ultimate knowledge and rich experience. Continuous ageing of spirits and classical double-distillation technology makes Tavria’s noble drinks highly reputable among domestic and foreign brandy lovers. At a private Moscow tasting, Tavria’s spirits were acknowledged by the tasters as equal to the world-famous “Remi Martin” cognacs.
Geographically, JSC Tavria is situated at the 46-th parallel, the same as the world-famous Cognac province in France, the home of this noble drink. The climatic zone, where Tavria’s grapes are being grown, is indicated by major foreign and national experts as one of the most ecologically clean areas in Ukraine. Millions of years ago this territory was the channel of the river Dnieper. Sandy and warm on the surface, these soils are enriched with various natural microelements and nutrient substances. This is why the vine, cultivated in Low Dnieper area, brings ample and flavorful grape, from which later Tavria’s hereditary masters create some of the world’s finest drinks.
JSC Tavria, led by Director Alexandr Sidorenko, has won the honorary award “Best Ukrainian Enterprise of the Year”. From 1970 to 2009 Tavria has been awarded 216 medals at international alcohol-tasting expos: in Moscow (PRODEXPO, “Alcohol & 
Tobacco”), Latvia (“RIGA FOOD”), St.-Petersburg (LINEXPO, “Petersburg Wine & Vodka
Fair”), Yalta (“Golden Griffin”), and other cities. Award portfolio includes 93 Gold, 86 Silver and 37 Bronze medals, and also 8 Grand prix, 5 special awards " Star PRODEXPO".
Positive results tasting of 2008 on InternationalWine and SpiritChallenge in London give the basis for development of the market of the Great Britain.
